The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers JEE Main.
Typically, JEE Main is held in January and April twice a year.
Applicants may apply if they have passed the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics portions of the 10+2 exam or its equivalent.
The age limit for applicants to JEE Main is not specified.
Three years in a row is the maximum number of attempts.
Pattern of Examination:
B.E. and B.Tech courses are admitted through the JEE Main Paper 1.
Registration for B.Arch and B.Planning courses is through JEE Main Paper 2.
Multiple-choice (MCQ) and numerical value-based questions covering physics, chemistry, and mathematics make up Paper 1.
Sections such as Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test (for B.Arch) are included in Paper 2.
Candidates are scored in JEE Main according on how well they perform in each topic.
Each subject’s normalized score as well as the overall percentile score are determined by the NTA.
For JEE Main, there is no stated common rank.
Candidates are rated according to their percentile ratings, which are made public.
Procedure for Admission:
A variety of National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and other engineering schools use JEE Main scores to determine admission.
The JEE Advanced exam is open to the top 2.5 lakh applicants from JEE Main who wish to apply to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
JEE Main is administered using computer-based testing, or CBT.
The Normalization Process:
NTA employs the normalization procedure to determine final scores in order to adjust for differences in exam difficulty levels between different exam sessions.
In addition to English, Hindi, Gujarati, and other regional languages, the question papers are available in many languages.
Admission Card and Outcome:
The admission card is available for download on the official website for candidates.
Scorecards for each participant are available, and results are announced on the official website.
There is a set timetable for JEE Main that includes dates for registration, exams, and result announcements. The official JEE Main website makes announcements about these far in advance.
