NEET testing typically takes place once a year.

The candidate must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission, or it must be finished by December 31 of the year of admission, in order to be eligible.

Each year, there may be variations in the total number of questions and the allocation among the subjects.

Each right response carries four points.
For every wrong response, one mark is taken away.
Questions left unanswered do not result in a mark deduction or award.

The NEET scores are used to calculate the All India Rank (AIR).
For state quota seats, state-level rankings are also disclosed.

Procedure for Admission:
Several government and private medical institutions around India use NEET scores to admit students to their undergraduate medical (MBBS/BDS) programmes.
For seat distribution, counselling procedures are carried out at both the federal and state levels.

Examining Method:
NEET is administered offline, using pen and paper.

Examinee Language:
There are several languages accessible for the question paper, including Hindi, English, and regional languages.

Admit Card and Result:
The official website releases the admit cards for download.
Scorecards for each participant are available, and results are announced on the official website.

Crucial Dates:
NEET adheres to a set timetable that includes dates for registration, exams, and result announcements. The official NEET website announces them well in advance.

The Process of Counselling:
The distribution of seats among different medical institutions is handled by centralised counselling at both the federal and state levels.
